Fred Armisen and Bill Hader Rock Out Talking Heads-Style on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ — Watch

1980s rock music and a passion for art combine during last night's musical performance, teasing the release of IFC's "Documentary Now!"

The creators of the comedic series “Documentary Now!,” Bill Hader and Fred Armisen, showcased their musical talents last night on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” The comic duo’s “iconic art, rock band from Connecticut,” also known as “Test Pattern,” performed an original song titled “Art + Student = Poor.”

Armisen took the stage looking a little like Forest Gump, Hader like an amateur golfer and together, the duo sounded a bit like the famous 80s band, the Talking Heads. The song, however, is surprisingly catchy with some painfully comedic lyrics.

“Documentary Now!’ is a “mockumentary” series on IFC that parodies well-known documentaries from the past, including Jonathan Demme’s famous music documentary “Stop Making Sense.” The series got its start on “Saturday Night Live” back in 2013.
