After a raucous first season of horrible murders, one of which included lopping off heads with a lawnmower, Season 2 of “Scream Queens” reveals that the Chanels (Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin and Billie Lourd) have graduated and somehow managed to avoid the insane asylum.
Continuing the bizarre story logic that suffused its first season, the Chanels have also become medical students at Cathy Munsch’s (Jamie Lee Curtis) new hospital, where the “incurable are cured.” Also returning to the show are “Scream Queen” veterans Keke Palmer, Niecy Nash and Glen Powell, as well as two new male cast members: John Stamos and Taylor Lautner, who play doctors Brock Holt and Cassidy Cascade.
From the consistent screams and nonchalant behavior of the new doctors and nurses in this promo, it doesn’t seem very likely that many of the patients will survive the night. Continuing the premise of the first season, Fox has stated that the show will once again have another “funny murder mystery.” Jamie Lee Curtis informed E! News she believes the second season will be “much darker.”
