“The Autopsy of Jane Doe” marks the English-language debut of Norwegian filmmaker André Øvredal, who previously directed “Trollhunter.” The minute-long ad doesn’t show Cox and Hirsch performing what are typically thought of as the standard duties of a mortician, but the two of them do seem rather afraid of whatever’s on the other side of the door they’ve barricaded themselves behind. Ophelia Lovibond, Michael McElhatton, Parker Sawyers and Olwen Kelly co-star in the movie, which just screened at Fantastic Fest after first premiering in Toronto. IFC Midnight will release “The Autopsy of Jane Doe” on December 21.
