The upcoming episodes pick up twenty-five years after the inhabitants of the quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen was murdered. The series is written by Lynch and Mark Frost, with Lynch directing every episode. A handful of the original cast members will be reprising their roles and a slew of new actors and musicians have joined the cast.

Badalamenti is a Grammy Award winner, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee, best known for his scores for “The Straight Story,” “Mulholland Drive” and “The Beach,” among others. The “Twin Peaks” soundtrack will also include Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder’s song “Out of Sand.”
