go90 is a free, AOL-owned streaming service that offers a selection of movies, TV shows and other streaming media to its audience. Since October 2015, the service has debuted the reality competition series “The Runner” as well as the Funny or Die-produced comedy series “Tween Fest.” Now, they’re set to debut a new series “Cold” about a young girl’s search for her birth parents and her discovery of a brutal series of crimes.
The 10-episode series follows 16-year-old Isla Wallis (Annalise Basso), who receives that her real father is in prison for killing the mother she never knew. Furious and confused, Isla runs away to the remote mining town where she was born, but there she learns of a series of horrific murders of First Nation women that may be tied to her mother’s death. Just when Isla begins to uncover the shocking truth behind these brutal crimes, she’s left for dead in the sub-zero wilderness. The series also stars Todd Lowe (“Gilmore Girls”), Jim True-Frost (“The Wire”), Devery Jacobs (“Mohawk Girls”) and more. Watch an exclusive clip from the series below.
Hailing from New Form’s 2015 incubator program, the series is created and directed by Emily Diana Ruth and written by Michael Sussman, a producer on the TV show version of “12 Monkeys.”
“Cold” premieres on go90 this Friday, October 13.
