CBS is looking for some “Salvation” next summer. The network has given a series order to the new suspense thriller, which comes from Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout shingle.

The one-hour serialized drama has been given a 13-episode order by CBS, which will air the show during summer 2017. “Salvation” follows an MIT grad student and a tech superstar who tell a low-level Pentagon official that they’ve made a terrifying discovery: An asteroid is just six months away from colliding with Earth.
