‘Saturday Night Live’ Offers a (Fake) Preview of ‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 — Watch

Kenan Thompson and Leslie Jones play the no-nonsense parents of Lucas.

Last night’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” was unsurprisingly Trump-centric — and almost certainly will be for at least the next month — but nestled among the political skits was an almost-as-topical one about “Stranger Things.” In it, the Duffer Brothers promise to address some of season one’s lingering mysteries: whether Barb is returning, where the Upside Down actually is and “where is that black kid’s family?”

Leslie Jones and Kenan Thompson play Lucas’ no-nonsense folks in the faux-preview, scaring their son much more than the Demogorgon does and telling him that “people who like look us already live in the Upside Down” and “you don’t have to go looking for scary stuff — it’s gonna find you.” The one thing that does frighten them in this world of monsters and parallel dimensions: The sudden arrival of a white police officer.
