Warning: Spoilers ahead if you don’t want to find out what was revealed today at “The Walking Dead’s” New York Comic-Con panel.

“The Walking Dead” fans have been waiting since spring to find out who succumbed to “Lucille.” Now, at the very least, we know who didn’t.

Producers unveiled a new teaser from the show’s upcoming Season 7 premiere, and it’s quite a doozy. A growling Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), carrying Lucille – his barbed-wire baseball bat, now dripping with blood – has just killed one of the show’s characters. And things don’t look so good for another one. If you’re in the United States, you can watch below. (International readers, scroll to the bottom of this post.)

Yeah, that’s Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), battered and bruised, and still putting his life on the line by mouthing off to Negan: “Not today, not tomorrow, but I’m going to kill you,” Rick says.

Negan grabs an ax, then yanks Rick and takes him inside a camper – where presumably he’s about to cut off our hero’s hand. In “The Walking Dead” comics, it was another villain, the Governor, who sliced off Rick’s hand. The TV version of Rick has managed to keep his hand, at least up until now.

The Walking Dead” returns on Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. ET, followed by “Talking Dead” (10 p.m.) and “Comic Book Men” (Midnight). Like past years, AMC will split the season into two parts: Eight episodes will air this fall, and eight episodes will air in February 2017.

As previously announced, another “Walking Dead” graphic novel setting, the Kingdom, will be seen this season. Khary Payton has been cast as Ezekiel, their leader.
