After two movies that provoked ire and admiration in nearly equal measure, “Wolf Creek” has made its way to the small screen. The Australian horror franchise is about to air its second of six episodes on Pop, who have shared an exclusive clip with Indiewire. Watch it below.
In it, a woman (Lucy Fry) at a remote gas station is approached by a group of unsavory-looking dudes as she washes blood off her foot. One of them tries to provoke her with a lewd comment, which inspires a shotgun-wielding trucker to scare him off and offer our heroine a coffee.
“Wolf Creek” first premiered at Sundance in 2005, drawing attention (and controversy) for its graphic violence; Roger Ebert was especially aghast at Greg McLean’s film, which has attained cult-classic status in the 11 years since its release. “Wolf Creek 2” was released in 2013 to less fanfare. The show’s second episode airs tomorrow night on Pop.
