‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Trailer: Marvel’s First Footage Is A Blast Of Kick-Ass Fun

The third Spider-Man franchise to launch in 14 years looks like it might just be the best one yet.

Sam Raimi’s original trilogy gave us one of the best superhero movies of all time (“Spider-Man 2”) and one of the most misguided (“Spider-Man 3), while Marc Webb’s reboot quickly became the laughing stock of blockbuster universe building and died out.

Fortunately, Marvel’s web-slinger rehab started strong with a small but memorable debut in “Captain America: Civil War,” and now the first footage from the standalone adventure is here to make us forget about the superhero’s shaky big screen past. Seriously, this looks like the most fun Spider-Man has ever had at the movies, and we’re already hooked.
