-The examination of complex masculinity in several films at this year’s festival was fascinating trend: “Call Me Your Name,” “God’s Own Country,” “Beach Rats,” “Burning Sands.”

-While it’s not the best film at Sundance 2017, “Beatriz at Dinner” is the most important film for the Trump-era.

-The World Dramatic competition represented Latin America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and Western and Eastern Europe, and provided some of the most riveting cinematic experiences at the festival.
