Boldly going where no show has gone before — namely, CBS All Access — “Star Trek: Discovery” premieres tonight after much hullabaloo. As you practice your Klingon in anticipation of that momentous event, the show’s kind overlords have seen fit to gift you with a preview of the show’s opening title sequence. Avail yourself of it below.

Here’s the synopsis for the show: “‘Star Trek: Discovery’ will follow the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. The series will feature a new ship and new characters while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.”

Sonequa Martin-Green leads the ensemble cast, which also includes Jason Isaacs, Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Maulik Pancholy, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, Kenneth Mitchell, Clare McConnell, Damon Runyan, Rekha Sharma, Mary Wiseman, and Rainn Wilson. “Star Trek: Discovery” begins tonight on CBS and CBS All Access, with subsequent episodes airing directly on the latter platform.
