Pay close attention to one scene in the Marvel tentpole and you might just spot a beloved Fünke.

Anyone who has spent the last decade hoping the worlds of “Arrested Development” and Marvel would collide is in luck: “Avengers: Infinity War” includes a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo from none other than Tobias Fünke, played in the series by David Cross. A Tobias look-a-like is seen in his trademark blue makeup standing in the background in a scene where the Guardians of the Galaxy visit Benicio del Toro’s the Collector to learn about the Reality Stone.

The scene in question leaked last November, and Twitter users spotted a Tobias-looking person in the background and started questioning if everyone’s favorite Fünke would be an easter egg included in the Marvel tentpole. The end credits of “Infinity War” confirm this to be true, as one of credit titles explains that an “‘Arrested Development’ character appears courtesy of rights-holders.”

Tobias popping up in “Infinity War” isn’t too surprising given that Marvel directors Joe and Anthony Russo mined their comedic talents as the directors of 14 “Arrested Development” episodes during its three seasons on Fox. The duo even directed the pilot episode.

IndieWire has reached out to Disney for comment.
