    Only Lovers Left Alive

On the face of it, "Only Lovers Left Alive" is original and intriguing: Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston play vampires who have been married for centuries.

Review: Only Lovers Left Alive - A Pair of Glamorous Bloodsuckers

Exotic trinkets and antique technology pave the rooms of a dimly lit apartment in desolated, almost-post-apocalyptic Detroit. Like a space transplanted from another era it is hard to tell what year it is by solely examining the objects, the colors, or the sounds that emanate from this place. Hiding ...

Review: Jim Jarmusch's Cultured & Cool 'Only Lovers Left Alive' Starring Tom Hiddleston & Tilda Swinton

From the very first opening titles, written in a Germanic font that immediately conjures everything from “Triumph of the Will” to images of big-busted ladies screaming in campy close-up in 1970s cheapie horrors (it may be the only time in Cannes that a film got a big laugh for a typeface) it’s perfe...

Review: 'Odd Thomas' Starring Anton Yelchin, Willem Dafoe And Addison Timlin

It's strange how intermittently bestselling novelist Dean Koontz has been adapted, and how those adaptations—from the early Ben Affleck joint "Phantoms" to the Jeff Goldblum starring psychological thriller "Hideaway"—have been almost uniformly horrible. Koontz doesn't have the way with characters or...

Watch: Trailer For Long Delayed And Almost Forgotten 'Odd Thomas' Starring Anton Yelchin

Wayyy back in the antediluvian days of July, we brought word that Stephen Sommers' Dean Koontz adaptation “Odd Thomas,” starring Anton Yelchin, Addison Timlin, Willem Dafoe and Patton Oswalt, was being delayed, perhaps indefinitely. It seemed like a shame, because it looked like a nifty little super...

So let it be known throughout the land: William H. Macy has balls of steel. In addition to juggling a busy, successful film and television career, he’s taken on a new role -- filmmaker. Anton Yelchin Joins Paul Schrader's 'Dying Of The Light,' Greta Gerwig Hatches 'Maggie's Plan' & More

Seemingly loving this whole social media thing, Paul Schrader was a steady presence through 2013 on Facebook, during the highs and lows of getting his low-budget sizzler "The Canyons" out in the world. Now, he's kicking off 2014 by making a new film, "The Dying of the Light."
