Watch: Trailer For Fox & Blue Sky's Miniaturized 'Epic' Debuts

Well, a movie calling itself "Epic" should probably kick off with an appropriately epic trailer. While we didn't quite get that with this, the first glimpse from the Fox/Blue Sky Studios' (loose) adaptation of the William Joyce book "The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs," it's still a promising-enou...

James Franco, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Paul Rudd, Rihanna & More Freak Out In Set Pics From 'The End Of The World'

You want to know how far the branches of the Judd Apatow tree go? Just look at the cast of "The End Of The World." Not only does it feature pretty much the regular Apatow players including Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, Jay Baruchel and Jason Segel, it also features frien...

Voices Assemble! Beyonce, Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, Jason Sudeikis & Steven Tyler Are 'Epic'

20th Century Fox and Blue Sky have certainly never been shy about padding out their animated movies with as many big time celebrity voices as possible, and while the jury is still out on whether or not it makes a difference to the quality of the end product, it certainly can't hurt, and it makes...

Aziz Ansari Joins 'The Apocalypse' With Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jay Baruchel & More

Buddies with Kanye West, connoisseur of fine cuisines, stand-up comedian and all around funny guy, Aziz Ansari continues to delivers laughs as the hapless and horny Tom Haverford on "Parks and Recreation" while continuing to solidfy his street cred by rolling with the Apatow crowd. And whi...

    30 Minutes Or Less—movie review

What can I say about a movie that made me want to take a shower and cleanse myself afterward? 30 Minutes or Less is so shallow, self-satisfied, and downright repulsive that I hesitate to discuss it at all. It has none of the qualities of director Ruben Fleischer’s debut feature, Zombie...

Review: '30 Minutes Or Less' Is A Fun But Forgettable Conclusion To The Summer Of R-Rated Excess

Zipping along at a brisk pace -- albeit one that feels like it's rushing to be over -- featuring dueling bromance buddy tales from both protagonists and villains, and mostly amusing in its vulgar humor and gags, the "action"-comedy "30 Minutes Or Less," is entertaining, but ultimately only a mild ef...

Interview: Aziz Ansari Talks About Getting Some Action In '30 Minutes Or Less'

28-year-old Aziz Ansari has had quite the meteoric rise over the past two years since audiences first got a taste of his unique sense of humor in scene-stealing moments from “I Love You Man,” “Observe and Report” and, most notably, Judd Apatow’s “Funny People.” The Columbia, South Carolina native la...

Exclusive: '30 Minutes’ Star Aziz Ansari Talks Plans For 'Spacemen’ & ‘Olympic Sized Asshole'

Ansari Hopes To Shoot Judd Apatow-Produced/Mandate Projects During His Next 'Parks And Recreation' HiatusYesterday, The Playlist spoke exclusively with Aziz Ansari, whose comedy “30 Minutes or Less” opposite Jesse Eisenberg and Danny McBride, hits screens August 12th. In the film, Ansari plays the best friend of Eisenberg, who is in a bit of a predicament: he has a bomb strapped to his chest and unless he robs a bank for some would-be thugs, they'll detonate it. It's the first major leading role for 28-year-old Ansari who has previously been seen in smaller parts in "The Rocker," "I Love You Man," "Observe and Report" and of course, as Randy ...

Aziz Ansari Making A Cameo In Raunchy R-Rated Anna Faris Comedy 'What's Your Number?'

This year, the studios are hoping women can bring in the raunchy R-rated laughs their male counterparts already can. While Warner Bros. will take another bite of the bankable apple with "The Hangover Part II," their competitors are rolling their dice with female driven laffers with Universal's "Bridesmaids," Sony's "Bad Teacher" and Fox's "What's Your Number" all in the pipeline. Female driven comedies -- that aren't rom-coms -- are already a hard sell and it's no surprise that execs are fine tuning the films up until the last minute. You can bet that the SXSW, "work-in-progess" screening of "Bridesmaids" was as much about gauging early audie...
