Watch: Ryan Gosling, Jim Carrey & Eva Mendes Star In Drunk History's 'The Night Before Christmas'

The concept behind "Drunk History" is beautiful in its simplicity. Get a comedian stinking drunk, get them to tell a slurred, jumbled version of a historical event, and then film a reconstruction of those events, full of movie-stars lip-syncing to the pissed-up narrator's words. Michae...

    Brad Garrett Joins 'Burt Wonderstone'

"Burt Wonderstone" is one of those projects that flies just enough below the radar that we never really paid much attention to it. Yes, it was a very hot script (by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein) but in the past few months the project has amassed an outrageously wonderful ...

Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels & The Farrelly Brothers Will Be 'Dumb And Dumber' Once Again

During press for "Mr. Popper's Penguins," Jim Carrey hinted that he would be open to sequels of some of his earlier films. It looks like that wasn't just idle speculation. The mega-star, who quietly led "Mr. Popper's Penguins" to over $185 million worldwide, is returning to the well for arguably his most beloved role, Lloyd Christmas, with a sequel to "Dumb and Dumber." The Farrelly Brothers will be returning to direct, and Jeff Daniels is apparently being sought to return as well. Daniels, mind you, is 56, and Carrey is 49. So apparently it will be a tragedy about two sadly aging mentally retarded friends, because it's increasingly apparent ...

Jim Carrey Joins 'Burt Wonderstone' With Steve Carell

Carell's 'Imagine' With Al Pacino Put Into Turnaround At Warner Bros.Up until now, the on screen pairings between Steve Carell and Jim Carrey have been fairly limited. Of course, Carell featured in "Bruce Almighty" where he was the unfortunate victim of Carrey's God-powered tomfoolery (and of course, his character was spun off into "Evan Almighty" which the less said, the better). They also both took voice roles in the animated "Horton Hears a Who!" a couple years back and irony of ironies, Carrey made a (pretty lacklustre) cameo appearance on the season finale of "The Office" last spring, of course, by this point Carell had exited the show. ...

Scarlett Johansson Joins Judd Apatow-Produced John Carney Film 'Can A Song Save Your Life?'

Mark Ruffalo & Jim Carrey Rumored As Possible LeadsWriter/Producer/Director Judd Apatow has a lot on his plate at any given moment and we'll forgive you if you forgot that way back in the summer of 2009 he revealed that among the many projects he was juggling, was a collaboration with a director who...

Jim Carrey Wants To Be 'Bruce Almighty' And/Or 'Dumb And Dumber' Again

There's merit to the idea of stars aging and eventually losing sight of what their fans want. Which is why Arnold Schwarzenegger opted for "The Governator" and "Cry Macho" as potential comeback projects, or Sean Connery signing on to something like "The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen" despite claiming to not understand a single word of the script. While Jim Carrey might not be as old as these people, he is threatening to take the path of Harrison Ford, which is to do a bunch of indifferent middlebrow studio films that no one cares for, and then return to a beloved character decades too late. With Ford "Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The ...

Jim Carrey Latest Big Star To Join Season Finale Of 'The Office'

It may have suffered somewhat in recent seasons from a dip in form, especially compared to the superior nature of most of the rest of the NBC comedy line-up -- "Community," "Parks and Recreation" and "30 Rock" -- but for the most part, we've immensely enjoyed the last seven seasons of "The Office." While it may not be as near-flawless as the BBC series on which it was based, it's remained remarkably consistent across over ten times the length, thanks to a star-making performance from lead Steve Carell, and one of the deepest, richest comedic ensembles around, one that's helped to launch names like John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and Ed Helms, a...

Jim Carrey Mails It In Again In Trailer To 'Mr. Popper's Penguins'

When Richard and Florence Atwater wrote "Mr. Popper's Penguins" in 1938, do you think they expected, one day, it would be a vehicle for an over-the-hill comedian where he teaches the titular creatures to dance to a grating late-twentieth-century pop staple that people only like for ironic reasons? B...

First Look: Jim Carrey In 'Mr. Popper's Penguins'

Jim Carrey is everywhere....at least this week. Last weekend he hosted a surprisingly not completely awful episode of "Saturday Night Live" (he does mean impressions of Billie Holiday and Alan Thicke) and his stint on "Inside the Actor's Studio" aired a few days ago as well. And while we're not quit...
