All the casting news that's fit to print! We reported last week on Dan Stevens attaching himself to the newest of Adam Sandler's periodic serious, grown-up movies (uh, not to be confused with his “Grown Ups” movies); this one's called "The Cobbler" and follows a cobbler (natch) who steps into his cl...

Lee Pace Lands Villain Role In 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'

We've already commented on the sorta variety pack casting of Marvel's "Guardians Of The Galaxy," and when the movie comes out, no matter who is in it, you're either going to be down with talking raccoons in space or not. But if you are, then the villain role has landed a pretty good dude to take it ...

Joel Edgerton, Jack Huston, Lee Pace, Eddie Redmayne, Jim Sturgess & More Testing For Peter Quill In 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'

Marvel sure does like their British and Aussie actors. With "Guardians Of The Galaxy" now less than two years from release, the studio is starting to get the cast in place for what is easily the most ambitious project on their slate (it has an alien tree creature and a pistol-wielding, tal...

First Look Photos Of Lee Pace, Jackie Earle Haley, James Spader & More In 'Lincoln'

While Daniel Day-Lewis is rightfully earning the most attention around "Lincoln" as he portrays the iconic President in Steven Spielberg's film, it's easy to forget that the picture is rounded out by a supporting cast of top-shelf actors. And now a fresh batch of new pics gives them a bit of shine.

20 New Images From The 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,' Including First Look At Lee Pace As Legolas' Dad

We imagine one of the buzz words in movie marketing departments these days, along with 'Pinterest' and 'viral games' is 'app.' Barely any major movie hits theaters without some kind of iOS-related promotional tie-in, often in the form of a game, or something similar. Some are genuinely nifty (the Ha...

'Pushing Daisies' & 'Breaking Dawn' Star Lee Pace Joins Steven Spielberg's 'Lincoln'

For Lee Pace, it has always seemed that bigger things have just been on the horizon. Most people probably recognize his face from his work on two shortlived, but acclaimed television shows "Wonderfalls" and "Pushing Daisies," however, astute film fans have also picked up on his talents. He was great as the love interest in the underseen and hugely underrated charmer "Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day," and he nearly stole the show as the arrogant documentary filmmaker Whit Coutell in Max Winkler's "Ceremony" and Hollywood has certainly sat up and taken notice. Pace is now part of two huge franchises with roles in the "Twilight: Breaking Dawn" fi...

Lee Pace Joins 'The Hobbit' As Elven King Thranduil, Dean O'Gorman Replaces Rob Kazinsky As Fili

Considering its long, troubled pre-production beset by delays, a change of director, and even health problems for Peter Jackson, we're glad that filming on "The Hobbit" has now commenced and things seem to be running fairly smoothly. With one exception, that is: last weekend, it was announced that British actor Rob Kazinsky had dropped out of the film. Kazinsky had been cast as Fili, one of the 13 dwarves that accompany Bilbo Baggins on his quest, but withdrew due to "health issues," although it's worth noting that Jackson has recast on his films before, replacing Stuart Townsend with Viggo Mortensen on "Lord of the Rings," and Ryan Gosling w...
