First Look: Michael Fassbender And Carey Mulligan In Steve McQueen's 'Shame'

It's been a flurry of a morning with the awesome Toronto Film Festival line-up being announced. On top of that comes a ton of first looks at films that have been highly anticipated on our part. First up we have quite a few photos of Steve McQueen's "Shame," starring Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan. McQueen last directed Fassbender in "Hunger," a movie about the 1981 hunger strike in Ireland. "Hunger" was Fassbender's first shove into the spotlight, and he's now one of the year's "it" guys, knocking it out of the park in "X-Men: First Class" earlier this summer and getting ready for an awards push as Carl Jung in David Cronenberg's "A Da...

Danny Boyle Wants Colin Firth and Scarlett Johansson To Join James McAvoy In 'Trance'

Zoe Saldana and Mélanie Thierry Also In Contention, Michael Fassbender Definitely OutIf there was every any doubt, after work like "Shallow Grave," "Trainspotting" and "Sunshine," Danny Boyle has firmly planted his feet among the A-list of directors: he's had two Best Picture nominees in a row, with the first of them, "Slumdog Millionaire" winning a Best Director Oscar; he's scored a big stage hit in "Frankenstein"; and he's been handed the responsibility for the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics. Steven Soderbergh's 'Haywire' Gets January 20, 2012 Release Date

Relativity Media Will Distribute in U.S.Well, that's one film we can take out of awards contention for 2011. One of Steven Soderbergh's upcoming films "Haywire" won't be released till January 20, 2012. As we've been saying all along, Relativity Media has retained the domestic rights, with Lionsgate holding on to the foreign rights. Lionsgate was all set to release in the U.S. as well, until restructuring gave partner Relativity its own domestic arm for distribution. The initial date was April, 2011, which Soderbergh confirmed himself, but it was never officially announced; the restructuring deal points took much longer than anyone expected. T...

'X-Men: First Class': The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

By this point, it's more than likely that you've checked out "X-Men: First Class" (although its underwhelming box office suggests that there were fewer of you than we thought). Weekend Box Office: $56 Million 'First Class' Opening Isn't X-actly What Fox Had In Mind
