The latest trailer for Henry-Alex Rubin's dramatic thriller "Disconnect" is an intense two-and-a-half minute glimpse into the chaos of the film's various stories, all intertwined by the consequences of technology. Slated for an April 12 release, the film stars Jason Bateman, Hope Davis, Frank Grillo, Paula Patton, Alexander Skarsgård and Michael Nyqvist, among others.
The first fiction feature from Oscar-nominated director Rubin ("Murderball"), "Disconnect" is a commentary on the struggle and desire to constantly stay connected through technology. Bateman plays a hard-working lawyer who is always distracted from his family by business calls while his teenage son gets cyber-bullied; Skarsgård is in a relationship that gets exposed online; a journalist gets involved with a teen on an adult website; and more drama ensues as the typing, texting and video chatting continue.
