The first fiction feature from Oscar-nominated director Rubin ("Murderball"), "Disconnect" is a commentary on the struggle and desire to constantly stay connected through technology. Bateman plays a hard-working lawyer who is always distracted from his family by business calls while his teenage son gets cyber-bullied; Skarsgård is in a relationship that gets exposed online; a journalist gets involved with a teen on an adult website; and more drama ensues as the typing, texting and video chatting continue.
