2013 Black List Announced: Features Annual List of Hollywood's Most Popular Unproduced Screenplays

The Black List, the online community which grew out of an annual industry survey about favorite unproduced screenplays, released its 2013 list on Twitter today.

The Black List, the online community which grew out of an annual industry survey about favorite unproduced screenplays, released its 2013 list on Twitter today.

Three of the last five Academy Awards for Best Picture went to scripts previously featured on The Black List ("Slumdog Millionaire," "The King's Speech" "Argo) and seven of the last 12 screenwriting Oscars were featured on previous Black Lists ("Juno," "Slumdog Millionaire," "The King's Speech," "The Social Network," "The Descendants," "Django Unchained," "Argo.") Over 225 Black List scripts have been produced into films grossing over $19 billion in worldwide box office and Black List scripts have won 35 Academy Awards from more than 175 nominations, the company reports.
