"Argo" Leads 2013 Golden Globe Award Winners

Ben Affleck's "Argo" led the winners of the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, taking both best picture (drama) and best director, despite Affleck getting snubbed at the Oscars.

"Les Miserables" won the most awards overall, taking the best picture (comedy or musical) prize as well as acting trophies for Hugh Jackman (best actor - comedy or musical) and Anne Hathaway (best supporting actress).

Other film acting winners included Daniel Day-Lewis ("Lincoln"), Jessica Chastain ("Zero Dark Thirty"), Jennifer Lawrence ("Silver Linings Playbook") and -- in the only real surprise -- Christoph Waltz ("Django Unchained"). "Amour" won best foreign language film, "Brave" took the animation prize, and Adele's title track from "Skyfall" won best original song.

Lawrence shouldve gotten best actress for silver linings. I feel like chastains performance shined because the ensemble cast was amazing more than any individual effort on her part. Without the other people it still would've been great but not as good. Silver linings however, would be completely different without lawrence.

Lawrence did win for Silver Lings Playbook. They split the awards at the Golden Globes. Lawrence won for comedy/musical and Chastain won for drama. We'll see what happens at the SAG and Oscars. My money is on Lawrence.
