Here's our take on best sound editing, which seems like a possible place for the Academy to reward "Skyfall" (alongside its assured best original song win). But look out for both "Zero Dark Thirty" or "Life of Pi," though honestly any of these films could win.
Nominees and predictions below. More commentary to come, but check out all predictions in all the categories here.
The nominees:
"Argo" Erik Aadahl and Ethan Van der Ryn
"Django Unchained" Wylie Stateman
"Life of Pi" Eugene Gearty and Philip Stockton
"Skyfall" Per Hallberg and Karen Baker Landers
"Zero Dark Thirty" Paul N.J. Ottosson
Will win: "Skyfall"
Could win: "Zero Dark Thirty" or "Life of Pi"
Should win: "Zero Dark Thirty"
