2013 Tribeca Film Festival to Take Place April 17-28, New Transmedia Program Launching With Award

The Tribeca Film Festival has set April 17-28 as the dates for its 12^th edition in 2013, when fest organizers will launch an award tied to a new transmedia program that celebrates digital media innovators. Submissions for narrative and documentary features, short films and transmedia projects open September 17.

The transmedia program is a partnership with sponsor Bombay Sapphire gin that will be run by the Tribeca Film Institute’s director of digital initiatives Ingrid Kopp, who also will join the festival programming team. Selections will be presented to the public at the 2013 fest.

The Tribeca programming team will include chief creative officer of Tribeca Enterprises Geoffrey Gilmore, returning artistic director Frédéric Boyer in his second year, director of programming Genna Terranova, Cara Cusumano and Sharon Badal.

The early deadline for features, shorts and transmedia projects is October 19, the official deadline is November 30 and the late deadline for features only is December 28.
