Here's our take on the best comedy supporting actor category.

'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'
Fox 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'

Indiewire will provide regular updates of our predictions through August 25th, when the winners will be announced.

Fred Armisen got a nod! It's one of the most surprising nominations of the year, and the group as a whole is missing a true lock to win. Could the "Portlandia" star pull off the win? Maybe, but Andre Braugher is going to try to take advantage of the (somewhat limited) love for "Brookyn Nine-Nine," and two "Modern Family" stars are still in the mix, making the yearly contender (and consistent winner) a threat as well. Tony Hale, meanwhile, will be hoping to repeat as last year's winner while Adam Driver may need some kind of "Star Wars" love crosses over from the film Academy to the Television Academy.

Below are predictions for best comedy supporting actor from both Indiewire Awards Editor Peter Knegt and TV Editor Ben Travers. Check out predictions in all the categories here.
