2014 Emmy Predictions: Best TV Movie/Miniseries Actor

By Peter Knegt and Ben Travers | Indiewire May 19, 2014 at 11:18AM

Here's our take on the best TV movie/miniseries actor category.
Chris Large/FX 'Fargo'

Indiewire will provide regular updates of our predictions through August 25th, when the winners will be announced.

Despite multiple nominations in the category for both Benedict Cumberbatch and Idris Elba, neither have been able to take home the acting prize for their respective miniseries, "Sherlock" and "Luther." They may have to wait another year. With strong contenders like Mark Ruffalo for "The Normal Heart" and Billy Bob Thornton for "Fargo" -- not to mention Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor in the mix -- the 2014 lineup is packed before even mentioning everyone's favorite "Hobbit" and Dr. Watson, Martin Freeman. Really, anyone could foreseeably walk away with this one.

Below are predictions for best TV movie/miniseries actor from both Indiewire Awards Editor Peter Knegt and TV Editor Ben Travers. Check out predictions in all the categories here.

Chiwetel Ejiofor, "Dancing on the Edge"
