2014 Golden Globe Predictions: Best Animated Feature

The best animated feature race looks unusually weak so far this year, with Hayao Miyazaki's alleged swan song "The Wind Rises" (Miyazaki won this award back in 2003) and Disney's "Frozen" seeming like the showdown (Disney owns the US rights to "Rises" as well, so its a win-win for them).

Indiewire will provide regular updates of our predictions for the Golden Globe Awards through January 12th, when the winners are announced.

With "Monsters University" snubbed and "The Wind Rises" ineligible, this is the easily call of the Globes: "Frozen."

Our take below. Check out all predictions in all the categories here.

The nominees:
"The Croods"
"Despicable Me 2"

Will win: "Frozen"
Could win: N/A
Should win: "Frozen"
Shoulda been here: "The Wind Rises," but the Globes don't allow foreign language animated films to compete here.
