Indiewire will provide regular updates of our predictions for the Golden Globe Awards through January 12th, when the winners are announced.

Like best picture (drama), this race looks like a showdown between "12 Years a Slave" (represented here by Hans Zimmer) and "Gravity' (Steven Price). We're going with the latter (and would be glad if that ended up being the case), but it really could be either/or.

Our take below. Check out all predictions in all the categories here.

The nominees:
Alex Ebert - "All Is Lost"
Alex Heffes - "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom"
Steven Price - "Gravity"
John Williams - "The Book Thief"
Hans Zimmer - "12 Years A Slave"

Will win: Steven Price - "Gravity"
Could win: Hans Zimmer - "12 Years A Slave"
Should win: Steven Price - "Gravity"
Shoulda been here: Owen Pallett & Will Butler, "Her"
