The Globes like them some stars in the best original song category, much more so than the Oscars. And there's plenty to choose from, including Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Jay-Z, U2, Karen O and Pharrell Williams...

Indiewire will provide regular updates of our predictions for the Golden Globe Awards through January 12th, when the winners are announced.

It's not eligible for the Oscars, but the lovely "Please Mr. Kennedy" from the Coens' "Inside Llewyn Davis" deservedly made the cut here alongside presumed Oscar winner "Let It Go" (from "Frozen") and a trio of nods that smell like star fuckery (U2, Coldplay, Taylor Swift). I'd imagine "Kennedy" wins here, continuing a tradition of winners in this category not even going on to be nominated at the Oscars (last year's winner "Skyfall" was one of only two examples the contrary in the past decade).

Our take below. Check out all predictions in all the categories here.

The nominees:
"Atlas" - Coldplay - "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire"
"Let It Go - Idina Menzel - "Frozen"
"Ordinary Love" - U2 - "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom"
"Please Mr. Kennedy" - Justin Timberlake & co - "Inside Llewyn Davis"
"Sweeter Than Fiction" - Taylor Swift - "One Chance"

Will win: "Please Mr. Kennedy" - Justin Timberlake & co - "Inside Llewyn Davis"
Could win: "Let It Go - Idina Menzel - "Frozen"
Should win: "Please Mr. Kennedy" - Justin Timberlake & co - "Inside Llewyn Davis"
Shoulda been here: "Young & Beautiful" - Lana Del Rey - "The Great Gatsby"
