Sure, Sunday tends to be overcrowded with high-end TV, including "True Blood," "Family Tree," "Copper," the returning "Dexter," the new "Ray Donovan" and more, but what to watch the rest of the time? Every Monday, we bring you five noteworthy highlights from the other six days of the week.

"POV": "Homegoings"
Monday, June 24 at 10pm on PBS

The 26th season of PBS documentary series "POV" kicks off with "Homegoings," a documentary from Christine Turner about the traditions of African-American funerals, as seen through Isaiah Owens' Funeral Home in Harlem. The film, which played at MoMA’s 2013 Documentary Fortnight, will also be getting a weeklong theatrical release starting on the 24th at the Maysles Cinema.

Under the Dome

"Under the Dome": Series Premiere
Monday, June 24 at 10pm on CBS

CBS, a network whose most ambitious and interesting programming has been snuck in under the guise of procedurals ("The Good Wife," "Elementary," "Person of Interest") tries something genuinely different with this serialized, 13-episode limited summer drama based on the Stephen King novel. Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre and Dean Norris play some of the residents of Chester's Mill, a small town that finds itself mysteriously sealed off from the world one day. The first episode, directed by Niels Arden Oplev (of the Danish "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"), is promising.

"The Out List": Broadcast Premiere
Thursday, June 27 at 9:30pm on HBO

"Milk" screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, drag legend Lady Bunny, former pro footballer Wade Davis and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres are among the interviewees who discuss the LGBT experience in this doc from director Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, who also helmed "The Latino List" and "The Black List" for HBO.

Maron

"Maron": Season Finale
Friday, June 28 at 10pm on IFC

The first season of stand-up and "WTF" podcaster Marc Maron's autobiographical series comes to an end with "Mexican Angel," an episode that finds Marc's former fling (Nora Zehetner) moving in with him temporarily after being evicted, a scenario that quickly grows tense. Adam Scott guest stars.

"Anna Nicole": Premiere
Saturday, June 29 at 8pm on Lifetime

"American Psycho" director Mary Harron takes on the story of pin-up turned Hollywood tragedy Anna Nicole Smith (Agnes Bruckner) for Lifetime, of all places. Martin Landau, Adam Goldberg, Graham Patrick Martin, Cary Elwes and Virginia Madsen co-star in what's bound to be an interesting production.

Also worth a look: Divisive Sundance documentary turned MTV hit "Catfish: The TV Series" returns for a second season on Tuesday, June 25th at 10pm; "Independence Day-Saster" may be the worst Syfy Original Movie title ever, and Thursday, June 27 at 9pm everyone can find out if the content matches.
