61st Berlinale Locks Down Full 2011 Competition Program

The 61st Berlin International Film Festival has unveiled the full selection for their Competition Program. 22 films make up the slate, 16 of which will be competing for the awards.

The 61st Berlin International Film Festival has unveiled the full selection for their Competition Program. 22 films make up the slate, 16 of which will be competing for the awards.

In addition it was announced there will be two special screenings: "Offside," from the convicted Iranian director Jafar Panahi, will be presented on February 11, to coincide with the anniversary of the Iranian Revolution; and the European premiere of Werner Herzog's 3D documentary "Cave of Forgotten Dreams" will be shown in the Berlinale Palast. A total of three 3D films are in the Official Program.

Following the award ceremony on February 19, the winner of the Golden Bear will serve as the closing night film.

The 61st Berlin International Film Festival runs February 10-20.
