7th Art Gets "Bad Faith"

Roschdy Zem's "Bad Faith" from Studio Canal has been acquired for North American distribution by 7th Art Releasing, the company announced today. Screening in the City of Lights, City of Angels festival of French film in Los Angeles, the movie is described as, "Focusing on a happy young couple in modern liberal Paris, (it) shows the complications that arise on both sides when Ismael, a North African Muslim, and Clara, an Ashkenaze Jew, must tell their parents about their union. Studio Canal's Saya Huddleston negotiated the deal with Matt Henderson of 7th Art. The film will be release later this year, according to the company. [Eugene Hernandez]
