80th Academy Awards Set for February 24, '08

The 80th Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, February 24, 2008, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Sid Ganis announced Wednesday. As in the recent past, the ceremony will take place from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and broadcast in the U.S. by the ABC network. Nomination ballots will be sent December 26 and due January 12. The nominations will be announced at 5:30am PST on Tuesday, January 22. Final ballots will be sent to Academy members on January 30 and are due February 19 by 5pm PST. The nominees luncheon will take place Feburary 4 and scientific and technical achievement awards will be presented on February 9. [Brian Brooks]
