Not attending Cannes this year and want to feel like you're part of the action? Check out the below video (shot by our very own Eric Kohn) of Irish star Chris O'Dowd ("Bridesmaids") belting out the Motown classic "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)" at the Weinstein Company's party for their feel-good musical, "The Sapphires."
The film, from director Wayne Blair, stars O'Dowd as an Irish pianist who helps four youg, talented Australian Aboriginal girls tour to South Vietnam during the war to perform for the American Marines. In his review, Kohn labled it "the Australian 'Dreamgirls.'" Weinstein picked up U.S. rights to the film, playing in an out of competition slot at Cannes, ahead of the festival.
