The International Cinephile Society announced their annual award winners this weekend, with Jacques Audiard's "A Prophet" leading a very eclectic and against-the-grain set of winners. None of them even nominated for Oscars, the five acting winners consisted of Édgar Ramírez taking best actor for "Carlos," Lesley Manville and Giovanna Mezzogiorno tying for best actress for "Another Year" and "Vincere," respectively, Olivia Williams winning best supporting actress for "The Ghost Writer," and Niels Arestrup winning supporting actor for "A Prophet."

An online group "made up of approximately 55 accredited journalists, film scholars, historians and other industry professionals who cover film festivals and events on five continents," this is the ICS's 8th annual winners. Check out the full list below, and of all the announced awards so far this year here.

Honorable Mentions: In a great year for foreign-language films, four made our Best Picture list (a record), and the competition for slots on the foreign-language list was truly fierce. This year it took almost twice as many votes to make it as in prior years. So we include here five honorable mentions: outstanding films that just missed, yet were passionately loved by a minority and certainly deserved this accolade.
