ABKCO announced yesterday that they have secured the rights to Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky's film "The Dance of Reality," his first film in 23 years.
This acquisition marks the third collaboration between Jodorowsky and ABKCO, which released the director's "El Topo" and "Holy Mountain" in 2007. Indiewire was able to catch the autobiographical drama in Cannes last year, and called it "gloriously entertaining" and a "return to form" for the long absent Jodorowsky.
Following last years international premiere, "The Dance of Reality" will make its U.S. debut at SXSW before its May 23 New York and Los Angeles release.
