Abu Dhabi Fest Sets Ali Al Jabri To Replace Peter Scarlet

It is being reported that Abu Dhabi Film Festival has set Ali Al Jabri as the new festival director, replacing Peter Scarlet.

Al Jabri was previous the director of the festival's Emirates Film Competition and has worked at the festival for five years. Scarlet, meanwhile, had come to the festival in 2009 after seven years working at the Tribeca Film Festival. He ran the San Francisco International Film Festival for nearly 20 years before that.

The next edition of the festival is scheduled to take place October 11-20, 2012. More at The Hollywood Reporter.
