AFP: "Last King of Scotland" premiers in Idi Amin's home country

"The Last King of Scotland" premiered in Uganda, the country where the film is set and where it was shot and with the actor playing its bloodthirsty former dictator Idi Amin in attendance. Showing at Kampala's Cineplex cinema, the showing of Hollywood's take on Uganda's darkest period was also attended by Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni, the film's director Kevin Macdonald and Forest Whitaker's co-star James McAvoy.
