“Air” Leads D.C. Critics Winners

The Washington, DC Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) have announced the winners of their annual awards, the nominations for which were announced just yesterday. Jason Reitman’s “Up In The Air,” which had led the nominations with eight mentions, including picture, director, actor, and two for supporting actress, led the winners as well. The film - which scored at the box office this weekend - won prizes for both best film and George Clooney’s lead performance. Other major winners included “Precious,” which won acting honors for Mo’Nique and Gabourey Sidibe, and “The Hurt Locker,” which won best director and best ensemble.
