AP: Lens pioneer Grafton to receive Oscar

David A. Grafton, a designer of lenses used for optical effects, will receive an Academy Award. The Gordon E. Sawyer Award, presented to Hollywood technological innovators, will be given to Grafton Feb. 9 at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' dinner to honor scientific and technical achievements.
