Rulin plays Emily, a 16-year-old who holds her unsupportive, workaholic parents hostage for a weekend in an attempt to gain their attention and bring the family closer together. Chenoweth plays her mother, an ambitious, high-strung business executive, and Modine fills the role of Emily's carefree artist father. Adam Saunders and Chris Aronoff of Footprint Features produced, in association with the Bedford Falls Company and executive producer Youmi N. Ma.

Goldberg negotiated the acquisition along with Peter Jarowey and The Film Sales Company's Andrew Herwitz.
