Austin Critics Go For 'Hugo,' Shannon, Swinton

The Austin Film Critics Association have announced their annual awards, with Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" taking the top prize. Nicolas Winding Refn took best director honors for "Drive," while Michael Shannon, Tilda Swinton, Albert Brooks and Jessica Chastain won acting honors.

I'm thrilled at the love shown for Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain (take shelter was her best performance this year). Hopefully the Academy will reward some authetnic films rather than overblown movies like War Horse and Moneyball. www.moviecriticdave.blogspot.com/
