The European Film Awards were presented Saturday night in Warsaw, Poland with Pedro Almodovar's "Volver" from Spain and Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's "The Lives of Others" from Germany dominating the awards. Each won three of the prizes selected by the 1,700 European Film Academy members, while Almodovar's "Volver" additionally won the event's People's Choice prize. Both films are Sony Pictures Classics releases in the United States.
