The 62nd Berlin International Film Festival has announced 7 more films in the Competition program of the festival. That brings the total to 22 films in the program, of which 17 are vying for the Golden and Silver Bear prizes. 18 of the films will be having their world premieres.

Among the more high profile films announced were Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod's "Bel Ami," which Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci. The film will screen out of competition. James Marsh's Sundance premiere "Shadow Dancer" will also make its way to the Berlinale, as will a special screening of Steven Soderbergh's "Haywire."

“We are very pleased that a large number of this year's Competition films are screening in Berlin as world premieres. Many entries in the Competition 2012 revolve around radical changes and departures.
