Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be back hosting the Golden Globes, not just in 2014 but also the following year.
Coming off an extraordinarily well-received debut as hosts this past January (read our review), the pair bucked the trend of instant internet disdain for most awards show hosts as of late. Instead, people were begging for them to return -- which seemed unlikely, until recent rumors suggested otherwise. And they were confirmed this morning when Fey and Poehler were announced as signing a two year contract with NBC and Dick Clark Productions.
"Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season," said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. "We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years."
