Bingham Ray Video: 'I'd like to be be able to do this until I drop.'

Bingham Ray at the Woodstock Film Festival. Woodstock Film Festival
The shocking news of Bingham Ray's passing today has led many leading members of the indie film community to share their memories of the veteran film executive. Last summer, Ray spoke eloquently about his passion for his work during a distribution panel organized for the 15th anniversary of the site. At the conclusion of the event, the panelists were asked where they see themselves in 15 years. Ray's succinct response, which you can be viewed in the clip below, was a powerful reminder of his commitment to the job at hand.

"I'd like to be able to do this in whatever form, and over a wide array of areas, until I drop," he said, "whether that's in an hour and a half or 30 years from now."

Watch Ray's response below (he begins speaking at 1:27). We encourage readers touched by Ray over the years to share their thoughts with us: editors@indiewire.com
