After working with departing editor-in-chief Eugene Hernandez for over ten years at indieWIRE, Managing Editor Brian Brooks will fill in as acting editor-in-chief until SnagFilms CEO Rick Allen completes his search for a replacement. It's been an emotional time at indieWIRE, as the site's co-founder Hernandez leaves after fifteen years to start his first day at the Film Society of Lincoln Center as director of digital strategy.

Hernandez, who will continue to feed his IW blog (http://blogs.indiewire.com/eug), writes in parting: "I am deeply proud of everything I've accomplished with the team at indieWIRE, which itself is embarking on a terrific new chapter. I'm excited to witness the company's continued expansion, led by my close friends and colleagues at iW and SnagFilms." Brooks joined the indieWIRE staff in May of 2000.
