The BSide Roadshow continues its tour of the U.S. with a stop tomorrow at the Orpheum Theater in Madison, WI, the independent film and music tour began with a stop in Austin, TX that welcomed some 800 people on June 4th at a free outdoor event, according to organizers. From there the event has traveled to Minneapolis, MN, Ann Arbor, MI, and Boulder, CO. Aimed at developing a larger audience for independent films, the event includes screenings of short and feature films along with performances of regional bands that have developed a following on MySpace.com.
"Before The Music Dies," "Quality of Life," and "The Outdoorsman: Blood, Sweat and Beers" are among the films lined up to screen, with organizers anticipating some 10,000 attendees before the tour concludes back in Austin later this month. The BSide Roadshow will be at World Cafe Live, Philadelphia, PA (6/19), Bagdad Theater, Portland, OR (6/22), Brattle Theater, Boston, MA (6/27), and at Alamo Drafthouse Downtown, Austin, TX (6/28).
