By Indiewire Staff | Indiewire June 14, 2011 at 6:45AM

This morning, NBC's "The Today Show" featured an interview with Buck Brannaman, the subject of Cindy Meehl's "Buck," a documentary that nabbed the 2011 Audience Award at Sundance. Ever the charmer, Brannaman spoke about his mystical way with horses, their therapeutic healing qualities and his status as the "real life horse whisperer." The doc traces back his evolution to the abusive tendencies of his father and demonstrates how horses eventually became his only equals.
