With Cannes already halfway done, we are still waiting for one of the most anticipated films to hit the festival scene: Ryan Gosling's "Lost River." Luckily, a first teaser clip has arrived for the surreal fantasy film, previously entitled "How To Catch a Monster."

With Cannes already halfway done, we are still waiting for one of the most anticipated films to hit the festival scene: Ryan Gosling's "Lost River." Luckily, a first teaser clip has arrived for the surreal fantasy film, previously entitled "How To Catch a Monster."

The film follows a single mother who navigates through a dark underworld, while her son finds a road that leads him to an underwater town. In the clip we are introduced to a boy, presumably one of the sons, and a creepy Matt Smith character who has something interesting to say. Otherwise, the clip doesn't say much, but it still provides us with a captivating sequence that will get us going until the film premieres later this week.

Christina Hendricks, Saoirse Ronan, Eva Mendes and Ben Mendelsohn round out the cast.
