Check Out This Awesome Infographic That Breaks Down Sundance Movie Sales

Crowdfunding and distribution platform Seed&Spark has bucked tradition with the launch of (gasp!) a print publication, Bright Ideas, that features heavy stock paper, glossy photos and killer layouts.

But for our purposes, what we're most impressed with is the awesome two-page spread of an infographic -- one that breaks down a handful of the 2011-2013 Sundance Film Festival sales by genre, awards, sale price vs. budget, and more. Click here for the largest image and click here to go to the original at Bright Ideas.

You can get lost looking at all the facts and figures, which have been laid out with the help of Italian data visualization firm Accurat. Enjoy.

First movie I checked from next section stars Susan Sarandon and Amy Sedaris. perhaps the original intention was to keep it for low budget US indie projects but much like the rest of sundance, it morphs to who has the best connections. I see no mention of budget restrictions.

Wow most are huge budgets that lost money-

I wish sundance started an ultra low budget section.. Movies under 100k- that's where the new talent would be- if a director can make a good looking movie on no budget now that's talent- anyone can take millions and make something decent
